Bobby Wagner is Back with Seattle Seahawks with a 1year Deal of $7M

Ninth time All-Pro winner, Bobby Wagner is back with Seattle Seahawks:

Bobby Wagner and Seattle Seahawks are back together after Wagner’s messy departure last offseason. On Saturday Seahawks tweeted a picture of him signing the contract of $7 million deal for one year after agreeing to the free-agent linebackers’ terms. Now, this deal also suggests that the walls between Seahawks and Wagner have also been mended.

Who Broke the News that Bobby Wagner is Back with Seattle Seahawks

The news about the reunion of Bobby Wagner and the Seahawks was first broken by safety Quandre Diggs of the team. He was pitching for him to come back to the team after Wagner parted ways with Los Angeles Rams last month. Later Wagner wrote on Instagram “Maaaan! Glad to be back in Seattle! It means a lot to be able to come back! Let’s get to work”.

Discussions had been done between coach Pete Carroll and Wagner about the return of Seahawks as per general manager John Schneider. On Thursday at 7.10 am was disclosed by Schneider about being in conversation with Wagner 32, to Seattle Sports.

“We’ve been talking to Bobby, and what I can tell you is we’ll see what shakes out, see how this goes,” Schneider said. “Everybody knows how much respect we have for Bobby … He had a great season this last year. We’ll continue to speak with him and stay in touch and see how this goes.”

Wagner has been the franchise’s all-time leading tackler and Super Bowl XLVIII winner before the XLIX season of Superbowl for Seattle.

Several other players like receiver Tyler Lockett and Will Dissly have also celebrated the return of Wagner through social media posts.

Southern California’s native Wagner who had signed a five-year contract with the Los Angeles Rams of $50 million got released a year later, the contract also included $20 million in guarantees. He was named All-Pro for the ninth time in his 11 seasons. He earned second-team All-Pro honors after posting 140 tackles, five passes defended two interceptions, and six sacks career high.

He had also called out about his disappointment with Seahawks decision-makers last year after he had to move from them and later he earned All-Pro honors and was rated as the top linebacker in NFL last season.

He has a record of 1523 tackles, 29.5 sacks, 13 interceptions, and six forced fumbles in 11 seasons.
