Are you facing trouble while loading the website on your phone? The website works on computer but facing an error while viewing on your phone?
Do you know the famous proverb, ‘Out of sight (site in our case) is out of mind’? So, let us know about such errors before your website gets out of users’ minds.
A website is a platform for business owners, creators, and various users to become more acquainted with the world and get a closer view of the world’s development just by sitting in their homes. Approximately there are 2 billion websites in the world as of 2022.
Many websites have basic use and reach while some websites designed for brands by brands have a wide scope and use.
Some of these websites often face difficulties and glitches. One of the glitches we recently encountered is websites operating on Windows (PC or Laptop) are less responsive on our phones.
All these websites cannot be perfect and well-designed always. But, now that technology has proven to be the best source to reach a larger crowd in just a click we cannot ignore such problems or avoid them.
When you want to achieve something greater and you want to reach the highest levels precision is a must. Websites sometimes lack precision and hence perform poorly.
There are various reasons that make your website lag or cause errors. If a website is not working on a particular device while it works fine on other devices it can be because of poor internet connection or network issues. But, there are instances where a website works on a computer but not on a phone while both are in the same network using a common internet connection.
In such a case it can be said that problem is from the website’s end and not from the end of the viewer or internet service provider.
So now let us dig more into the reasons why a website fails to work on mobile while it works absolutely fine on your phone.
Also, let us find out ways to troubleshoot our website back and how these troubles occur in a very simplified way. What can be the reasons for a website to not work on mobile?
It wasn’t designed for mobile use:
So basically, this can’t be so difficult for anyone to know that a website was not designed to be used on mobile. If the website was not designed to be part of the mobile user’s universe then it won’t work on mobile phones.
Sometimes the website didn’t update or was not updated at all since it was developed can be the reason why you failed to get it designed for mobile use too.
Poorly designed website:
Sometimes the issue starts from the very beginning that is when you decided to design a website. For instance, you were confused or unsure about what or how you wanted your website to be, and thus you ended up confusing the developer where he missed or mixed a few of your instructions.
This may result in a poorly designed website with a lot of errors in it. One has to carefully plan the website and should be clear about what the website should look like or what contents are to be added and should be precise about its purpose.
Thus, it will help the developer and the website owner to keep the website more user-friendly and simpler if the website is well-designed and well-planned from scratch.
Lack of motivation and investment in creating a quality website:
It is often seen that people don’t invest their money in designing and maintaining their websites. Many times, the developer hired is not well-trained or less acquainted with making high-quality websites, this makes it difficult for the developer to think about the problems a website could face later once it is launched.
Developers who work at lower levels or have too much on their plate as opposed to manpower they have may lose the track of your website, sacrificing the quality of the website thus designed for you.
Web browser:
Web browser plays a very important role in website designing or website sustainability. If a particular website is designed for a particular web browser and if you are trying to open it on your phone with a different web browser, then this may lead to the crash of the website on the web browser.
Also, if the web browser is not website friendly or if the user has made settings to block the website for a particular web browser then it can cause trouble for the website to load.
Content Delivery Networks (CDNs)
If your website is not actively using a modern solution for easy access to websites then it may face a glitch in loading a website making it not useful for mobile.
CDN or Content Delivery Networks are web servers that deliver data to any client i.e. mobile in our case study.
It is not an affordable means to all but it is a highly recommended and effective tool to make access to your website and users’ website browsing experience faster and better.
If CDNs are used for your website then it can reduce the chances of website errors and make it more mobile friendly.
Dual Websites:
Sometimes 2 websites are made separately for mobile phone browsers and PC or Laptop browsers. If these websites are not optimized then it can create some trouble. While designing such 2 separate websites the developer should make it recognizable to Google.
Doing so the website with mobile users will be made available on mobile and the website with use on PC or browser will be made available for use on PC with automatically with Google AI. The website owner doesn’t have to bother about any glitches or trouble caused for any of the two websites.
But, if the developer fails to optimize the website it will create problems for both or for any one of the devices.
Poor Internet connection:
We have seen this error millions of times on our phones, especially during the 2G and 3G eras. Yes, the internet connection is an important factor that will determine a website’s loading capacity.
If the network and internet facility on the user’s end is poor then it may lead to website error for the particular user on his/her phone.
For this, the website developer cannot be held responsible and they cannot do anything much about it.
Updating a website:
It is very important for a website owner and developer to keep track of the website and keep it up to date from time to time. If a website is not updated it will face issues and will have errors which will make it difficult to work.
Updating a website and adding new features to it is really important this will also help the website get more reach and attract more audience from time to time.
If a website is still working on old terms and lagging it will not load on a phone properly. Also, if a website is not updated it may attract some robust viruses making it poor and harmful for browsers.
All the websites should be updated and maintained from time to time to avoid any issues for the website users as well as for the working of the website in a proper fashion.
In conclusion to this;
Thus, we can say that designing a website is not an easy job and has to be taken very seriously by both the developer and the owner. Coordination, planning, investment, precision, and maintenance are all key factors that should be considered when handling any issue related to the website. The website should be made user, browser, and device friendly so as to ensure its quality keeping it safe from troubles and glitches.
