Carlos Correa Now Part of Giants After a Massive Deal

Carlos Correa a Free agent joined Giants with a massive deal of 13 years and a $350 million contract on Thursday, late at night. The other free agents’ Mitch Haniger, Ross Stripling, and Sean Manaea have also been offered agreements from the team.

Carlos made his debut in MLB with Houston Astros in 2015 and later was in Minnesota Twins for 3 years deal, also won the Gold Glove and Platinum Glove awards in 2021. Before joining the Twins, he entered free agency. He also opted out of Twins in October and settled for $35.1 million in one year with Minnesota.

He is one of the biggest MLB free-agency players in 2022 who has now joined the San Francisco Giants for a giant deal. He was also offered by the Astros but it wasn’t a long-term deal. He spent his seven seasons with the Astros and also emerged as a key piece in the team. After an unsuccessful deal with Aaron Judge Giants managed to add Correa this offseason.

The Gold Glove recipient who following a season made slash .291/.366/.467 has left some impact as he compared himself to a Dior item in a shop. He said that when he goes to a mall and visits a Dior store and wants something, he gets it. Similarly, he says that he is a product here and if they want him they have to get him. “I ask how much it costs, and I buy it. So, if you really want something, you just go get it. I’m the product here, and if they want my product, they just have got to come to get it.” Correa says in his words.

Thus, justifying his entry into Giants he has made it very clear how to get a big star player like him into a team for the long term.
