A South African actress Charlbi Dean was 32 years old and died in August. The cause of her death was not revealed till today. A team of medical examiners from New York confirmed the news and stated that the Cause of Death of Charlbi Dean is bacterial sepsis.
Bacterial sepsis is a life-threatening infection caused due to body’s response to the infection that injures the tissues and organs. It is caused due to traumatic force on the torso.
Charlbi was an actress and model from South Africa who started her career as a model at 6 years of age. She is known for her work in the Spud and Black Lightning. She was engaged to fellow African actor and model Luke Volker.
Her last role as an actress was in the 2022 film “Triangle of Sadness”. She also acted in 2 tv series named Elementary and Black Lightning.
After Charlbi’s death Alex Jacobs her brother explained that she had minor symptoms and asked Luke to take her to the emergency room but, died a few hours later.
Dean’s brother revealed post her death that it was a sudden illness and that they weren’t entirely sure about the cause of death. He also told that she had been through a very bad accident in 2009 and hence her spleen was removed. He said, “[The spleen is] involved in fighting off infections, and that could have had something to do with what happened. “Her spleen not being there just added to the reason why she perhaps couldn’t fight it off.”
What does the CDC say About the Cause of Death?
Now after a long wait, it has been confirmed according to the Centers for Diseases Control and Prevention that there are certain bacterias that are very common in humans, cats, and dogs but a trained veterinarian said that severe infection of Capnocytophaga are very rare but they weaken your immune system and make it difficult to fight infections. It is fatal and thus sometimes causes death.
They say it is unclear as to which animal was responsible for the infection to Dean.
