Chvrches' Lauren Mayberry's First Solo Single 'Are You Awake?'

Lauren Mayberry, the lead singer of Chvrches, has released her first solo single titled "Are You Awake?".

"Are You Awake?" is a piano-driven ballad co-written by Mayberry with Tobias Jesso Jr. and produced by Matthew Koma.

Mayberry collaborated with her friend Matthew Koma to finish the song, emphasizing his understanding of her artistic vision.

This solo endeavor marks a surprising departure for Mayberry, who never expected to write a piano ballad or embark on a solo project.

Mayberry had announced her intention to release music outside of Chvrches in a reflective Instagram post.

She is excited about this new chapter in her career and looks forward to sharing more of her solo music with her audience.

Lauren Mayberry will be going on a solo tour this fall, with scheduled stops in the United States, Europe, and the United Kingdom.

Chvrches also recently collaborated with Death Cab For Cutie on a remix of their single "An Arrow in the Wall" in August.
