How Death of Reba McEntire's Mother Almost Ended Her Music Career

Reba McEntire, the country music legend, revealed her emotional struggle to with music following her mother's passing.

Her mother, Jacqueline, succumbed to cancer in 2020, and McEntire considered quitting music at that time.

McEntire recalled going through her parents' belongings with her sister Susie and expressing her doubts about her future.

Reba McEntire shared how she used to sing for her mother and contemplated giving it up.

Her sister reassured her, telling her that she would find her musical inspiration again, which she ultimately did.

McEntire emphasized that her mother not only nurtured her love for music but also taught her and her siblings how to sing.

Jacqueline was supportive of her children's endeavors, fostering a harmonious family environment.

Music was a significant part of their lives during high school, earning them the moniker "the singing McEntires."

Their mother ensured they continued to grow as singers and would correct them if they sang a wrong note.
