Suzanne Somers and Joyce DeWitt both made their Hollywood breakthrough on the popular sitcom "Three's Company," in 1976.

The show featured the two actresses alongside John Ritter and revolved around three single characters living together.

In the show, Somers portrayed Chrissy Snow, a comical "dumb blonde," while DeWitt played Janet Wood, the more mature character.

Initially, Ritter was the star due to his greater fame, but the audience soon embraced the chemistry among all three leads.

Suzanne Somers' fame from the series led her to request equal compensation after the completion of Season 5.

Following Suzanne Somers' request for equal pay, the show's producers began sidelining her character on "Three's Company."

This decision sparked tension on the set and eventually led to Somers' departure from the show.

As a consequence, Suzanne Somers and Joyce DeWitt remained estranged for over three decades.

In 2012, silence between the two finally ended when DeWitt was invited to Somers' talk show, "Suzanne Somers Breaking Through."

Their reunion began with an emotional embrace, and the two discussed the events of 1980 that had driven them apart.
