Trump’s Thanksgiving Surprise Sparks Laughter: No Leftovers for the Former President!

In a recent act of charity on Sunday, former President Donald Trump distributed food to Texas National Guard soldiers, troopers, and others assigned to duty at the border during Thanksgiving. However, a twist in the story occurred when he expressed dissatisfaction, complaining that there wasn’t enough food left for him.

“The food looked very appetizing. I wanted to partake, but unfortunately, there wasn’t any left for me. None at all. That’s not ideal. It’s the kind of food I enjoy,” Trump remarked, eliciting some chuckles from the audience.

Trump’s visit to Texas was for the purpose of endorsing Governor Greg Abbott for reelection. During his endorsement speech later that day, Trump referred to migrants as “the enemy.”

Both Abbott and Trump strongly oppose migrants crossing the U.S. southern border and have employed inflammatory, prejudiced language to convey their views. Abbott initiated a program transporting migrants from Texas to Democratic-led cities like New York and Washington, D.C.

Trump has pledged to intensify his anti-immigrant stance, aiming for heightened racial undertones. He envisions implementing “ideological screening” for immigrants before granting them entry and has vowed to reinstate and expand his ban on Muslims entering the country.

“I will institute rigorous ideological screening for all immigrants,” declared Trump in a speech last month. “If you harbor animosity towards America, seek the abolition of Israel, hold disdain for our religion (which many do), or sympathize with jihadists, then you are not welcome in our country, and you will be denied entry.”

Trump has further committed to terminating birthright citizenship, a right guaranteed by the 14th amendment, for children of undocumented immigrants. “As part of my plan to secure the border on Day 1, I will sign an executive order clarifying to federal agencies that, based on the correct interpretation of the law, the future children of illegal aliens will not automatically receive U.S. citizenship,” Trump asserted in a campaign video released in May.

In an interview with the far-right website The National Pulse last month, Trump expressed that immigration is “a very lamentable situation for our country; it’s contaminating the essence of our nation.”

The Biden campaign responded to Trump’s controversial plans in a statement from campaign spokesperson Ammar Moussa earlier this month: “The nightmarish reality of mass detention camps, attempts to revoke citizenship for children born here, and the upheaval of families through widespread deportations – this is the disturbing future awaiting the American people if Donald Trump comes anywhere close to the Oval Office again. These extreme, prejudiced, and harsh policies devised by him and his associate Stephen Miller are intended to instill fear and create divisions, banking on a nation in disarray as the path to his electoral victory.”
