Jennifer Coolidge Grabs Second Consecutive Emmy Win!
Comedic talent Jennifer Coolidge clinched the Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series at the 75th Annual Emmy Awards, marking her second consecutive victory for portraying Tanya McQuoid in ‘The White Lotus.’
In her signature humorous style, Coolidge wrestled with the weighty trophy while delivering a rapid-fire acceptance speech within the 45-second limit.
“Thanks. Gotta put this down, still don’t have the strength,” she chuckled, expressing gratitude to creator Mike White for the opportunity to embody the character. Acknowledging her character’s fate, she quipped, “He says I’m definitely dead, so I’m going on with it.”

Coolidge playfully thanked the “evil gays,” her co-stars in the show’s second season, who played a pivotal role in her character’s dramatic demise during the season finale.
Interrupted by Anthony Anderson’s mom, Doris, wielding a clock, Coolidge wrapped up her speech, leaving the audience with an inspirational message:
“I had a dream in my little town, and everyone says it was impractical. It did happen, so don’t give up on your dream”

Beyond her dual Emmy triumphs, Coolidge has received accolades, including a Golden Globe Award, two Critics’ Choice Television Awards, and two Screen Actors Guild Awards for her compelling portrayal of Tanya.
Reflecting on her character’s exit, Coolidge explained that Tanya’s dramatic departure was essential for the series, noting, “Mike was looking for a big Italian opera ending, and it was big and dramatic. So he wanted me to die for many reasons.” She added, “But I also think Tanya’s a lot. Maybe people would get sick of her on another season. Maybe people would be like, ‘Oh my God, get rid of Tanya!'”
