The Minnesota Timberwolves lost a heartbreaker at home to the Denver Nuggets in Game 4, blowing their 2-game lead in the Western Conference Semifinals. However, young star Anthony Edwards remains defiant.
Edwards, who poured in a game-high 44 points, exchanged words with Nuggets guard Jamal Murray after the final buzzer. “I just told him we love that,” Edwards said. “Keep talking trash. That’s what we like.”
While Edwards balled out, the rest of the Wolves struggled. Karl-Anthony Towns, who had a rough shooting night (5-18), received support from his teammate. “He’s a superstar,” Edwards said of Towns. “We need him aggressive.” Towns acknowledged his struggles but vowed to bounce back. “It’s not a fun game sometimes,” Towns said. “But we’re together, and we always lean into the brotherhood that we have built here.”

With the series tied 2-2, the focus shifts to Denver. Towns, the longest-tenured Timberwolf, emphasized the team’s bond. “We just got to stay connected,” Towns said. “This is a test, but the work we’ve put in will materialize.”
Edwards, however, isn’t worried. “We won two games. They won two games,” he said. “I’m happy. I’m ready. It’s going to be fun.”
The series heads to Denver for a pivotal Game 5. Can the Wolves recapture their early series lead, or will the Nuggets take control?
