The unfortunate incident unfolded during Aerosmith’s Saturday gig in Long Island, New York, according to the 75-year-old rock sensation himself. In a heartfelt message posted on the band’s social media accounts, Tyler shared, “I’m heartbroken to say I have received strict doctor’s orders not to sing for the next thirty days. I sustained vocal cord damage during Saturday’s show that led to subsequent bleeding. We’ll need to postpone a few dates so that we can come back and give you the performance you deserve.”
While Steven Tyler takes a breather to mend, the band has rescheduled the affected concert dates for their loyal fans. Here are the new dates to mark on your calendar: Chicago (Feb. 14), Washington, D.C. (Feb. 17), Toronto (Feb. 21), Raleigh, North Carolina (Feb. 26), and Cleveland, Ohio (Feb. 29).
For those of you who’ve already snagged tickets, don’t worry – your tickets will be honored for the rescheduled shows. However, if you can’t make it to the new dates, refunds will be available at the place where you purchased your tickets.
