Finn Wolfhard Netflix series “Stranger Things” lead actor talks about panic attacks during filming of the series.
Finn Wolfhard who played Mike in “Stranger Things” says that he experienced panic attacks as teenager on sets. He also further adds that his costars hugged him when he had panic attacks on set and Jesse Eisenberg assured him that faced similar incidents.
He said he was an “uptight and nervous” while shooting for his new film “When You Finish Saving The World” and the director Jesse Eisenberg reassured Finn about his experience of panic attack while filming the 2009 film “Adventureland”.
He further shared his experience with director Greg Mottola who told him once that acting was an “emotionally exposing and very publicly horrible job” and not to worry.
Wolfhard who had a panic attack on the sets of “Stranger Things” recalled an incidence where co-stars Caleb McLaughlin and Gaten Matarazzo sat down and hugged him while the showrunners Matt and Ross Duffer stopped the take.
Finn explained, “Gaten and Caleb, we’re for life. Bonded for life,” And “They were like, ‘Dude, we’re the only people that know what it’s really like.”
Finn who played Mike in “Stranger Things” in an interview told the publication that he started to experience panic attacks in his adolescent years around the 15th or 16th year of age during his career days. He was 13 year old when Stranger Things premiered in 2016 and the actor said he “did not talk about anything, because I just was having this crazy whirlwind career, so there was no time, or at least we didn’t feel [there was] at the time.”
Wolfhard before starring for “Stranger Things” first debuted as an actor in 2014 in television debut as Zoran in second season of the sci-fi “The 100”. Later he appeared as Jordie Pinksky in the series “Supernatural”.
