English born, Iconic Guitarist Jeff Beck dies of Meningitis at 78 age. He was one of the world’s greatest rhythm and blues interpreter. Jeff rose to stardom with rock and roll with 1960s Yardbirds and later enjoyed solo.

His death was announced on behalf of his family on his official website, the statement read “On behalf of his family, it is with deep and profound sadness that we share the news of Jeff Beck’s passing. After suddenly contracting bacterial meningitis, he peacefully passed away yesterday,” “His family ask for privacy while they process this tremendous loss.”

After the statement many other artists and renowned co-musicians paid a tribute to the late Guitarist, including icons like Ozzy Osbourne, with whom Beck once collaborated, and Kiss lead singer Gene Simmons.

“No one played guitar like Jeff,” Simmons posted on Twitter. “Please get ahold of the first two Jeff Beck Group albums and behold greatness. RIP.”

The 8th time Grammy awards winner who was twice inducted to Rock and Roll hall once called as one of the greatest guitar players, Mike Jagger also posted about Jeff’s death.

“He was quiet as moccasined feet, yet mercurial, innovative, impossible to categorize,” wrote punk-poet laureate Patti Smith. “One of the masters of my generation.”

“Jeff Beck was on another planet,” said Stewart of his former bandmate. “He was one of the few guitarists that when playing live would actually listen to me sing and respond. Jeff, you were the greatest, my man. “Thank you for everything.”

The passing away of Guitarist Jeff Beck has left the music world with void. He was one of the well known musicians guitarist in the world and is being showered with prayers for his soul rest in peace.
