As a result of the ongoing strike among film and TV writers, “Saturday Night Live” was unable to broadcast a new episode on its scheduled Saturday evening slot.

‘SNL’ Cancels Pete Davidson Episode:

The Writers Guild of America’s strike call on Monday, following the expiration of their current contract just before midnight, led to an abrupt halt in the preparations for the highly anticipated new episode featuring Pete Davidson.

The negotiations between the Writers Guild of America and the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers failed to reach an agreement, triggering the strike.

Pete Davidson’s Solidarity with Striking Writers:

On Saturday morning, a video circulated on social media capturing Davidson’s act of solidarity with striking writers in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, as he distributed pizzas to support their cause.

The NBC comedy sketch show had exciting plans in store as former cast member Pete Davidson was slated to make a highly anticipated return as the host. Joining him on the episode was the talented musical guest Lil Uzi Vert.

In the brief video clip, Davidson can be heard expressing his support, saying, “Gotta support the writers, man! No writers, no shows without the writers.”

Earlier Drew Barrymore had supported writers strike.

Other Shows Affected by The Srike:

As a result of the ongoing strike, other late-night network programs, including “Jimmy Kimmel Live!,” “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert,” “Late Night with Seth Meyers,” and “The Tonight Show,” have also ceased airing new episodes.
