In a recent development, it has been confirmed by Gillette Stadium that John Mayer and Little Big Town will be taking the stage as replacement acts for the injured Khalid on Ed Sheeran’s Mathematics Tour in Massachusetts this weekend.

During a concert in DC on June 24, Sheeran informed fans about Khalid’s recent car accident. Subsequently, via a Twitter announcement on Friday, Gillette Stadium revealed that John Mayer will be opening for the acclaimed “Shape of You” singer at the Massachusetts show on Friday, while Little Big Town will entertain the audience on Saturday.

Last weekend, Sheeran had to perform his own opening set due to Khalid’s unfortunate accident.

“So excited to join my bro Ed Sheeran on tour! This will be my first time performing on a stadium run, and I’m extremely happy to be doing it with (Ed Sheeran). Can’t wait to see and perform for all of you beautiful people (pun intended hahaha),” Khalid wrote on Instagram, referencing Sheeran’s popular song that features Khalid’s vocals.
