Comedian Pete Davidson, known for his work on Saturday Night Live and appearances in popular films such as The King of Staten Island and Trainwreck, has made his way into the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). Fans were excited as Pete Davidson enters the Marvel Universe with a small cameo appearance in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, which was directed by James Gunn, whom Davidson had previously worked with on The Suicide Squad in the DC Extended Universe (DCEU).

Davidson’s role as Blackguard in The Suicide Squad marked his first appearance in the DCEU. With his impressive track record on SNL and in films, it’s no surprise that he has made his way into the world of comic book movies.

Although his roles in both the MCU and DCEU have been relatively small, Davidson’s future in comic book movies is promising. James Gunn, who directed him in both The Suicide Squad and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, is set to direct several upcoming DC projects, which could lead to a more significant role for Davidson. He may also have the chance to reprise his role as Blackguard, similar to Sean Gunn’s Weasel in Creature Commandos.
The MCU’s Multiverse Saga is also expanding, but it is uncertain whether Davidson will return for a more prominent role now that Gunn has moved on to work at DC Studios. Regardless, Davidson’s appearances in both universes have established him as a rising talent in Hollywood.

Despite his relatively brief screen time in both the MCU and DCEU, Davidson’s potential for more significant roles and opportunities is present. It remains to be seen whether he will become a regular in either universe, but his debut in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 was undoubtedly a promising start.
