In an early morning operation, rapper Polo G found himself in police custody as officers conducted a search of his Los Angeles residence. The LAPD detained four individuals, including Polo G, born Taurus Bartlett, at 11817 Macoda Lane in Chatsworth, California, which is the listed address for the rapper.

This operation was carried out with a search warrant, and Polo G can be seen with his hands raised and in handcuffs outside his property, accompanied by police officers.

Polo G’s lawyer, Bradford Cohen, said that the rapper was wrongfully detained and that the raid was connected to a reported firearm. He said that Polo G is not the focus of the investigation and that he will be released soon.

Bradford Cohen, explained the situation, stating, “Polo is being held under the guise that the police department needs to double-check that he is not a convicted felon as there was a purported firearm found in the home. He is not and never was a convicted felon. Any previous charges he had I got dismissed, and it’s all public record.”

This is not the first time that Polo G has been arrested. In 2021, he was arrested in Miami on charges of battery on a police officer, resisting arrest, and criminal mischief. He was also arrested in Los Angeles on charges of carrying a concealed weapon.

Polo G is a Grammy-nominated rapper who has released two platinum albums, “Die a Legend” and “The Goat.” He is known for his introspective lyrics about his experiences growing up in Chicago.
