Good news for fans of trivia and Rob Lowe! Fox has announced the renewal of their hit game show ‘The Floor’ for two additional seasons. The show, hosted by Lowe, will return for both the 2024-25 and 2025-26 seasons.

Lowe’s involvement with Fox goes beyond just hosting. He’s also a producer on “The Floor” and has struck a first-look deal with the network to develop new unscripted projects. This means they’ll have the first chance to consider any shows Lowe creates in the future.

Fox’s decision to renew “The Floor” isn’t surprising. The show was a quiet success, averaging over 3.4 million viewers per episode and growing to 5.5 million when including streaming and other platforms. Fox is clearly hoping to capitalize on this momentum with the two-season renewal.

Network president Michael Thorn expressed his enthusiasm for the show’s return, praising both “The Floor’s” innovative format and Lowe’s hosting skills. He also mentioned plans to make the show “even bigger and bolder” in the upcoming seasons.

Viewers can expect to see a lot of Lowe on Fox next season. In addition to “The Floor,” his drama series “911: Lone Star” is also returning after a one-year hiatus.

The details of the development deal give Lowe and Fox the opportunity to collaborate on creating new unscripted shows. Any resulting series will be produced by Fox Alternative Entertainment, the network’s in-house production studio. Both Lowe and network executives seem excited about this prospect.
