Ashley Jensen, the actress who starred in Ugly Betty, has married actor Kenny Doughty in a “super fun” ceremony. The couple tied the knot on August 9 at Priston Mill near Bath in front of family and friends.
Jensen, 54, was left devastated six years ago when her husband Terence Beesley took his own life. However, she has found happiness again with Doughty, who has been an “immense support” to her.
Witnesses shared the enchanting atmosphere, expressing their delight at Ashley’s evident joy. One guest remarked, “The day looked absolutely beautiful. Ashley looked just so, so happy. She was smiling and laughing, it was simply idyllic. There appeared to be so much love in that room.”
The couple, who first crossed paths on the set of the 2017 drama ‘Love, Lies and Records,’ has garnered immense support from friends. Kenny, in particular, has been a pillar of strength for Ashley, who shares a 14-year-old child named Francis with her late husband Terence.

A close source revealed, “He has been an immense support to her in the past few years. They make a lovely couple, and all their friends are absolutely delighted for them.”
The journey to this joyous occasion has not been without its challenges. Ashley Jensen, known for her role in ‘After Life,’ previously opened up about the heartbreaking moment of discovering Terence’s lifeless body in their Somerset home in November 2017. At the inquest into his death at Avon Coroner’s Court, she expressed her devastation, stating, “I am truly devastated about Terry’s death, and I will never ever forget what happened that night.”
The assistant coroner, Dr. Peter Harrowing, confirmed Terence’s death as suicide, extending condolences to his family and friends. Despite Ashley’s swift call to emergency services, tragically, they were unable to save his life. A post-mortem revealed alarming carbon monoxide levels in Terence’s blood, marking the end of a difficult chapter in Ashley Jensen’s life.
Jensen is now looking forward to the future with her new husband. She told the Mail on Sunday: “I’m so happy to be married to Kenny. He’s an amazing man and I’m so lucky to have him in my life.”
