Damian Lewis who played Bobby Axelrod in ”Billions” the ShowTime series is back in the series after leaving the show in the sixth season. Damian Lewis is an English Actor who is best known for his role in the HBO miniseries “Band of Brothers” as U.S.  Army Major Richard Winters which earned him Golden Globe nomination.

On The Late Show of Stephen Colbert Lewis confirmed saying that, “Bobby’s Back, Axe is back and it’s exciting. He us not been around for couple of seasons”. The series has also added character of Toney Goins as Phillip.

The new season which has been started two weeks ago has many surprises for the audience in it. The 7th season is going to be power packed with changes in alliances, loyalty tests and betrayals. With Bobby returning with “Axe” Axelrod and stakes grow from Wall Street to the world the enemies are going to become friends.

After death of wife Helen McCrory, Lewis left the series in fifth season and now has re-joined. The season is still in process and the production is going on in New York City. 

Damian shared his thoughts about this through a post which read, “Thank you @SHO_Billions thank you @briankoppelman @DavidLevien.” he shared via Instagram at the time. “A pleAsure and a privilege to play Axe for 5 seasons with some of the smartest, funniest most talented cast and crew I’ve worked with. I’ll miss the Billions family. Yep, some jobs are more than just a job…. Love.”

Brian Koppelman and David Levien are producers and showrunners of “Billions” the series had been created by Andrew Ross Sorkin and Beth Schacter is executive producer of the show.
