Millie Bobby Brown, known for her role as Eleven in “Stranger Things,” is shutting down critics of her accent. The actress, who grew up in both the US and England, says her ability to switch accents is part of her acting skills.

In a recent interview, Brown explained that being around people with different accents influences her own way of speaking. “I’m an actor,” she said, “and I adapt to the people I’m around.” She emphasized that it’s unintentional and not meant to offend anyone.

Brown showcases this talent in her various projects. She uses a flawless American accent in “Stranger Things” and the “Godzilla” movies, while switching to her natural British accent in “Enola Holmes” and “Damsel.”

Her upcoming role in “The Electric State” remains a mystery accent-wise. The movie is set in the US, but it’s unclear if Brown will adopt an American accent or stick to her British one.
