Hollywood A-listers Kristen Stewart and Oscar Isaac are teaming up for a new thriller titled “Flesh of the Gods.” Directed by Panos Cosmatos (known for the trippy revenge flick “Mandy”), the film promises a wild ride through a neon-soaked 1980s Los Angeles.
Stewart and Isaac play Raoul and Alex, a married couple who trade their luxurious high-rise life for the electric nightscape of the city. Their world gets turned upside down when they encounter the enigmatic “Nameless” and her entourage. Lured into a world of glamour, violence, and thrilling experiences that blur the lines between reality and fantasy, Raoul and Alex find themselves on a dangerous path.
The script comes from Andrew Kevin Walker, the mind behind David Fincher’s classic “Se7en.” The story is a collaboration between Walker and Cosmatos, and production is being led by Adam McKay (“Don’t Look Up”) and Betsy Koch (“Vice”) alongside Isaac himself. Filming is expected to begin later this year.
Both Stewart and Isaac are coming off successful projects. Stewart garnered an Oscar nomination for her portrayal of Princess Diana in “Spencer” and recently starred in the critically-acclaimed “Love Lies Bleeding.” Isaac is busy filming Guillermo del Toro’s take on “Frankenstein” and recently appeared in “Moon Knight,” “Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse,” and the blockbuster “Dune.”

“Flesh of the Gods” marks a reunion for Cosmatos and XYZ Films, the production company behind “Mandy.” This will be Cosmatos’ third feature film, and with a story that blends fantasy and horror, it promises to be just as mind-bending as his previous work.
With a talented cast, a seasoned writer, and a visionary director, “Flesh of the Gods” has all the makings of a cult classic. McKay’s excitement is palpable, aiming to create a film that leaves a lasting impact across film, music, fashion, and popular culture.
