In a heartfelt Instagram message, Sanchez expressed their profound sorrow over the recent calamity in Maui and unveiled their initiative to establish a fund, dedicated to assisting the island’s recuperation in both the immediate aftermath and the years ahead.

Bezos, whose fortune is valued at $163 billion according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, possesses an estate on La Perouse Bay, situated at the southern tip of Maui.

Tragedy struck the historic Lahaina town on Maui as rapidly spreading fires claimed the lives of at least 67 individuals. Initial assessments by Accuweather Inc. estimate the economic toll ranging between $8 billion and $10 billion.
