Avoid Cancer Progression by Following a Workout Routine: Read How

Avoid Cancer Progression by Following a Workout Routine

It was observed that a simple workout routine can suppress the growth of tumors in advanced-stage cancer patients as per a study. The Edith Cowen University of Australia in its research showed that exercising can change the chemical environment of a patient’s body thus suppressing the growth of the cancer cells.

Research by EMRI:

The patients engaged in such research at the Exercise Medicine Research Institute at ECU were found to have produced myokines a protein that play important role in keeping diseases away. The team examined nine patients before and after exercise regularly and the samples were taken before and after exercise 30 minutes post-workout. Rob Newton EMRI professor said “This is helping us to understand why patients with cancer who exercise exhibit slower disease progression and survive for longer,” in Dec 14 statement.

Professor Rob Newton’s observations:

“The findings from our work are particularly exciting because we report for the first time ever that men with advanced prostate cancer are able to produce an acute elevation in anti-cancer molecules called myokines in response to a single bout of vigorous exercise,” Newton told his university’s newsroom.

It has also been stated by scientists that exercise surely cannot cure the disease totally. It has to be considered that the disease is incurable. But, there can be alterations and delay in the expectancy and life can be made longer for the patients.

It was also observed that men should follow rigorous workout training and should also strive to increase muscle growth along with myokine production in the body. They should focus more on the acute elevation of the disease.

Thus, it can be said that scientists are really striving forward with their research that highlights the importance of exercise to overcome prostate cancer. This can be used to avoid cancer in the first instance itself. If the cancer is of a later stage one must follow the recommendations of the doctor while doctors start incorporating this as part of their treatment.
