The AirTag is a round-shaped tracker designed like a round button that has a stainless-steel back with the Apple logo on it. It does not have a keyhole but you can buy an accessory to put it into the key ring of any sort. Tile on the other hand comes in different shapes and sizes. With each version, its features change. Tile Pro is bigger in size than earlier Tile tracker and has in built key hole to it.
The difference between Tile Pro and AirTag starts with their shape and size. AirTag is very compact as it does not have a keyhole and hence it can be customized by using a variety of accessories. Tile is comparatively bigger because of the key ring and has near to zero options for customization. So, with many options of accessories for AirTag you can attach it to a lot of items as compared to tile which only has the option of a keychain. Apple enables you to buy sticky backs or straps so that you don’t confine to keychains. Airtag also allows you to engrave your name or any word you want on the Airtag whereas with Tile it won’t be possible.
The major factor which can make you shift from AirTag to Tile is compatibility. Whether an Android device or an Apple user both can use the Tile or Tile Pro app. This makes it easier for Android users or non-Apple users to still use Tile Pro. Hence it is a much better option to use Tile Pro than to buy a new device because of AirTag’s incompatibility with other devices. But, if you have an Apple ecosystem around you or with you then you should surely go for AirTag. The Apple eco-system is having iPad, iPhones, apple watches, and other devices of only apple at your home or office and everywhere you go. This will enable you to have worldwide access to the Apple user database and whoever has Find My App on their device can help you when you’ve lost something because you will get notified whenever someone walks past the object.
Tile Pro also provides for facility to find through lost feature but this is possible only when you buy a monthly or yearly subscription for it. The database is however different in different areas and is nowhere near the size of the Apple database.
Conclusion: Apple Airtag or Tile Pro, Which is better for me?
For Apple users when deciding to go for such a tracking device it hands-down has to be Apple AirTag for it shall make their life easier. The Find My App in sync with other devices will help you track whatever you want to find. Even if the device is lost you can find it by adding your phone number to the device while other Apple users can track you on the basis of the same. This will be seamlessly easy to use. You will also get added features like left-behind alerts and the U1 precision finding without having to pay the subscription cost. Further it can be customised by adding accessories to it as per your budget.
While on the other hand, Tile Pro is the best option for the android user much more affordable than Apple. It is quite cheaper and also has features as much as closer to those of AirTag. Most importantly Tile Pro is already having the keyhole which will stay with your keys forever.
