Logitech Launches High-End MX Brio Webcam with Improved Image, Audio, and a Clever Feature

Logitech has unveiled the MX Brio, a premium webcam designed to complement its lineup of high-end productivity devices like the MX Master 3S and MX Mechanical. Priced at $200, the MX Brio boasts significant improvements in image quality, upgraded microphones, and a unique hinge for presentations.

Sleek Design and Functional Features of MX Brio Webcam:

The MX Brio features a premium aluminum build, ditching the plastic body of its predecessor. It comes in three colors (silver, gray, and black) and boasts a built-in privacy shutter for added security. Unlike some rivals, the MX Brio eliminates the need for a separate lens cap.

The included clip allows for easy mounting on laptops or monitors. However, for more advanced setups, the clip detaches magnetically, revealing a standard tripod thread. The most intriguing feature is the clip’s unique hinge. This hinge enables the camera to tilt downwards into “Show Mode,” automatically adjusting the field of view to provide a bird’s-eye view of your desk, perfect for showcasing notes or products during presentations or live streams.

Enhanced Image and Audio Quality:

The MX Brio utilizes a Sony Starvis sensor, capable of recording 4K video at 30 fps. This sensor offers superior dynamic range and low-light performance compared to previous models. Compared to its predecessor, the MX Brio produces noticeably more vibrant and accurate colors, even in challenging lighting conditions.

The webcam also features dual beamforming microphones for clear audio and AI-powered noise cancellation. Compatibility with leading video conferencing platforms like Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and Google Meet ensures optimal performance during calls.

Extensive Customization and Software Integration:

The MX Brio offers a wide range of customization options, allowing users to adjust white balance, field of view, exposure, and other settings. It is compatible with both Logitech’s Options+ and G Hub software, providing flexibility for work and leisure use without switching between programs.

While the MX Brio lacks the ability to set custom white points using gray cards, a feature commonly found in professional cameras, it still delivers a significant upgrade over previous Logitech webcams.

Availability:

The MX Brio is available for purchase now, with the black model exclusively available at Best Buy for the first three months.
