On Nintendo Switch in a New Year’s message, Famitsu and Atlus new game reveal in 2023 is winked.
A New Year greeting card published by Famitsu shared a message where Atlus the Japanese game publisher has said that several announcements are to be made in 2023. Atlus has released the titles Persona 5 Royal and 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim in 2022. After these, they are now set to release new titles such as remastered Persona 3 Portable and Persona 4 Golden. Apart from this message said that several other releases are to be made.
In 2019 similar statements were made by Atlus Greeting Card which made announcements of Catherine Classic, Persona 5 Royal, Persona 5 Strikes and Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Encore. In 2021 senior managing director Naoto Hiraoka also made a statement about the development of 5-6 ongoing projects and also expected the number to reach 10 if collaborations with others became successful.

Similarly, this year’s message has also been very promising about their future developments. The message reads,
“Happy New Year! Thank you very much for your support and patronage of the remastered version of P4U2 in 2022, the Nintendo Switch version of 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim, Soul Hackers 2, and the remastered version of Persona 5 Royal. Thanks to your support, the remastered edition of P5R achieved 1 million sales within one month of its release, and P5R as a whole has surpassed 3.3 million units worldwide.
“In 2023, we will start with the remastered releases of P3P and P4G, and we are also preparing several new unannounced titles. Please look forward to it!”
Famitsu has also recently released another article that suggested that fans could expect more related to Shin Megami Tensei’s for its 30th Anniversary next year. “Thanks to the long-term support of many people, the Shin Megami Tensei series celebrated its 30th anniversary in October 2022,” he wrote.
“Shin Megami Tensei V has sold over 1 million units worldwide, and has received a lot of attention not only from Japan but also from overseas. In 2023, our 31st year, we hope to be able to express our gratitude to our fans in some way.”
Apart from all this they have also announced Persona 3 Portable and Persona 4 Goldens release on Switch by 19th January later this month which were previously booked for release in 2023 in October last year.
