Unlike other live TV streaming services, Sling TV offers multiple base plans (Sling Orange and Sling Blue) with different channel selections and stream limitations. Here’s a breakdown:
- Sling Orange: Budget-friendly option with a limited channel lineup. You can only watch on one device at a time, even with add-ons.
- Sling Blue: Offers more channels and allows three simultaneous streams. This applies to Sling Latino and Sling International as well. Extras are included in these three streams.
- Sling Orange + Sling Blue: Combining both plans increases total streams to four. However, this is essentially three streams from Sling Blue (with its wider channel selection) and one stream from Sling Orange. Channels exclusive to Sling Orange remain limited to a single device.

Things can get confusing with channel availability. A “Sling Blue Starts Here” or “Sling Orange Ends Here” demarcation within the live guide indicates channel restrictions. To watch a Sling Orange channel on multiple devices, you’ll need to select it from the Sling Blue section (if available there). Trying to watch a Sling Orange channel on a second device will stop playback on the first.
While this setup might seem complex, it’s how Sling TV manages streams across its plans. Premium services like Showtime have separate streaming limitations (up to three devices) independent of Sling streams.
