Twitter Rebrands with ‘X’ as Its New Official Logo, Hints at Exciting Changes Ahead

In a surprising move, Twitter bids farewell to its iconic bird logo, embracing a sleek ‘X’ as its new official emblem. The change was officially announced by none other than Elon Musk over the weekend, and it’s already live on the website.

Musk himself took to Twitter, revealing that x.com now redirects to twitter.com, and playfully referred to the new logo as an “interim” design, hinting at the possibility of future logo changes.

But the rebranding might not stop with just the logo. According to Musk, the company has grander plans in mind. Eventually, Twitter may say goodbye to its current brand and gradually shed its bird-associated imagery.

Elon Musk’s fascination with the letter ‘X’ is well-documented. He previously founded X.com, which later evolved into the well-known PayPal. His space venture, SpaceX, sports an ‘X’ as its logo. Recently, he established an AI company named X.ai. In a notable development earlier this year, the social network underwent a legal name change from Twitter Inc. to X Corp.

Linda Yaccarino, Twitter’s CEO, shared her insights on the rebranding. While Twitter revolutionized how people connect, X is set to take it a step further. It will focus on audio, video, messaging, and even delve into payment and banking, transforming Twitter into a global marketplace for ideas, goods, services, and opportunities. Quite an ambitious vision.
