12-year-old Ryan Kiara Armstrong is Not The Worst Actor

The Razzie Awards have implemented an age limit for nominations after 12-year-old Ryan Kiara Armstrong was nominated for worst actress.

Film fans and former and current child actors condemned the organization which nominates the worst film every year for bullying of a young actor.

Organizers of the 2023 Golden Raspberry Awards - which recognize the worst films and performances of the past year - announced their nominations.

Her nomination caused a stir on social media, and now organizers have announced that Armstrong's name has been withdrawn from the ballot.

In the acting categories, Tom Hanks and Pete Davidson each received double nominations for Worst Actor and Worst Supporting Actor.

On Sunday, the Razzies announced their list of the “worst” movies and performances of 2022. Blonde, starring Ana de Armas, led the nominations with eight nods.

Recent valid criticism of the selection of 11-year-old Armstrong as a nominee for one of our awards has brought to our attention just how insensitive we have been in this regard.

Armstrong was born Dr. Born to Berta Bacic and actor Dean Armstrong, he is the youngest of five children
