The actor is lead star in Christopher Nolan's updoming biopic 'Oppenheimer'

The actor, who will star in Christopher Nolan's Oppenheimer this summer, has recently joined the Little Things Like These feature picture adaptation.

The project, which also features Ciarán Hinds and Emily Watson, has been approved by Ben Affleck and Matt Damon's Artists Equity.

The plot takes place around Christmas in 1985 and centers on Bill Furlong (Murphy), who learns that the convent in his town is keeping secrets.

Enda Walsh wrote the screenplay, while Tim Mielants, who collaborated with Murphy on Peaky Blinders, is in charge of directing.

With praise for both the original material and the film, Murphy expressed his "honor" at being a part of the endeavor.

Murphy is best known for playing Tommy Shelby in Peaky Blinders, which ended last year after six seasons but is still being adapted for the big screen.
