Actor Keanu Reeves Gets a Bass Guitar Lesson from Flea

Keanu Reeves once received a bass guitar lesson from Flea, the bassist of the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

Reeves, who plays bass in the grunge band Dogstar, shared that the lesson took place when they met on the set of a movie.

During the interaction, Keanu requested a bass lesson from Flea, who willingly agreed to help.

Flea's response to Keanu's request was simply to "feel it" and play from the heart.

Both Keanu Reeves and Flea appeared in the 1991 movie 'My Own Private Idaho,' directed by Gus Van Sant.

Keanu humorously expressed that he considers himself a "wild animal playing with a piece of wood" when it comes to playing bass.

Keanu acknowledged that he didn't follow traditional methods of learning songs and theory.

Keanu shared a playful anecdote about acquiring his first bass guitar in 1986, describing it as a "bass drug deal."
