Britney Spears and Sam Asghari have split after 14 months of marriage, as confirmed by multiple sources to PEOPLE.

TMZ was the first to report their separation, which came after a nuclear argument involving cheating allegations.

About a week prior to the separation, Sam confronted Britney about rumors of her infidelity, leading to a major fight.

Sam has moved out of their shared house and is now living on his own, and likely to file for divorce soon.

Reports indicate that there had been ongoing trouble in the couple's marriage for several months.

Despite requests for comments, a manager for Sam and a representative for Britney have not provided any official statements.

Britney and Sam first met in 2016 on the set of her music video for "Slumber Party" and married in June 2022 in Los Angeles.

Rumors of marital struggles began circulating in March, although they were initially denied by Asghari's representative.
