92 Year-old Canadian actor Gordon Pinsent has died

According to a statement from Gordon Pinsent's family, the actor passed away on Saturday while sleeping.

On Sunday, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau posted on Twitter that Gordon Pinsent was "one of Canada's most famous performers."

He got the Genie Award for best actor in a leading role for "Away From Her" from the Academy of Canadian Television and Film in 2008.

His character has portrayed as a husband who lost his wife to both Alzheimer's disease and to another guy.

"Away From Her," a 2007 theatrical release of the 2006 film festival premiere starring Julie Christie and Pinsent, was directed by Sarah Polley.
