Chanel West Coast Departs From MTV to Start Her Own Show

Chanel West Coast is quitting MTV's "Ridiculousness" to create, executive produce, and star in her own projects.

According to Variety the shows include scripted and unscripted series as part of an overall arrangement with MTV's parent firm, Paramount Media Networks.

She posted on Instagram on Monday, "I'm so happy to be leaving Ridiculousness for my own docuseries television show, which will premiere soon."

"I'm also really pleased to take over as executive producer and develop some incredible television and cinema projects for you," the rapper and musician added.

She also praised fans of the show which she co-hosted Rob Dyrdek and Sterling "Steelo" Brim for 12 years, encouraging people to bring hot music, movies, and television.

The show follows Dyrdek, an entrepreneur and former professional skater, and his staff and friends around his downtown Los Angeles indoor skatepark and office.

Born Chelsea Dudley, Chanel West Coast worked as a recording artist for Lil Wayne's Young Money Entertainment.

She has collaborated with Snoop Dogg, Ty Dolla Sign, French Montana, and YG, and will release her debut album,  "America's Sweetheart" in 2020.

Chanel West Coast also made an appearance in the VH1 reality show "Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood" in 2017.
