Allen recounted that he heard a couple of steps and then suddenly found himself on the ground, hitting his head on the pavement.

Despite losing his left arm in a car crash in 1984, Allen managed to communicate that he was not a threat to his assailant, fearing further harm.

Although the attacker likely didn't recognize Allen, they seemingly realized he posed no danger due to his disability.

Reports indicate that a woman came to Allen's aid, but the suspect also assaulted her. Fortunately, she did not sustain any serious injuries.

Grateful for his incredible family and support system, Allen expressed his appreciation for still being alive and the strength he derives from them.

Allen and Monroe have extensive experience in building supportive communities, evident in their creation of the Raven Drum Foundation in 2001.

The foundation aims to help trauma survivors, particularly veterans and first responders, by focusing on physical and mental well-being.

To cope with the recent assault, Allen turned to his drums once again, just as he did after the car crash that took his arm.
