Frisco will soon get its Universal Studios Theme Park.

The project was approved with $12.7 million in economic incentives and a requirement for the park to be open by June 2026.

Universal Parks & Resorts purchased a site on the Dallas North Tollway for a kids-focused park and hotel.

7,500 people will visit the park during the week, and on busy days, that number may reach 20,000.

The 97-acre project will have attractions, dining options, plazas, water features, walkways, and ponds.

The park will include a 300-room hotel, three parking areas, and administration, storage and technical service areas.

The developer will provide canopy trees, shrubbery, and berming to buffer the area and connect it to the city's trail system.

Frisco Police Department will partner with Universal to determine how many officers will be needed and what services will be provided.
