Tuesday, opponents of the project made one last attempt to be heard, with the majority expressing worries about traffic, crime, and aesthetics.

Residents expressed their opinions online, with 75 opposed, 3 in favor, 6 requesting additional information, and 1 asking the council to consider the audience.

7,500 people will visit the park during the week, and on busy days, that number may reach 20,000.

The 97-acre project will have attractions, dining options, plazas, water features, walkways, and ponds.

The park will include a 300-room hotel, three parking areas, and administration, storage and technical service areas.

The developer will provide canopy trees, shrubbery, and berming to buffer the area and connect it to the city's trail system.
