Concertgoers who thought they heard gunshots rushed to the exits, killing two people and injuring several others, according to the Rochester Police Department.

According to police Chief David M. Smith, the injuries at the performance featuring rappers GloRilla and Finesse2tymes were caused by people being crushed.

According to Smith, there is no proof that anyone was shot or stabbed at the scene or that any firearms were fired.

Just after 11 p.m., when the concert at Rochester's Main Street Armory came to a close, Smith claimed that crowds leaving the location surged dangerously.
