Harrison Ford Talks About The Long-Awaited Fifth Film

Harrison Ford recently addressed the 15-year gap between the fourth and fifth Indiana Jones films.

Ford last portrayed the daring archaeologist in 2008's "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull".

In a new interview with Digital Spy, Ford explained the reason for the long delay in releasing a fifth Indiana Jones film.

According to Ford there was no intention to immediately make another film after the last one was completed.

Over time various ideas were discussed but none of them felt right until a strong story and script were finally developed.

Ford expressed his satisfaction with the story of the upcoming film, "Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny".

At the age of 80 Ford wanted to bring a conclusion to Indiana Jones' story that reflected the reality of his character's age.

Ford stars in the film alongside Phoebe Waller-Bridge from "Fleabag" and Mads Mikkelsen.

He felt proud of the work he and director James Mangold, along with the rest of the team, had accomplished together.

Ford hopes that audiences will find the conclusion of Indiana Jones' story as satisfying as he did.
