Harrison Ford's Conflict With Brad Pitt During 'The Devil's Own'

Ford finally speaks out about the tension that existed between him and Brad Pitt during the filming of the 1997 movie The Devil's Own.

Ford admits that he shares some of the blame for the rumored discord between him and Pitt on the set of the cop drama.

Another point of contention arose from Ford's desire for his character to have a more complex storyline like Pitt's character.

Ford reveals that he came up with the idea of his character having a bad shooting ability to introduce a complication to the story.

As a result, a subplot was added to the film involving Ford's character being conflicted after witnessing his partner fatally shoot a thief.

Ford said they didn't have a script that both he and Pitt agreed upon, as each had different ideas about how the story should unfold.

Ford realizes that his insistence on his point of view contributed to the standoff between him and Pitt.

The tension between the two actors had for the film, with the budget increasing from $70 million to nearly $100 million.

Due to the late completion of The Devil's Own, Pitt's future project, Seven Years in Tibet, had to be postponed for two months.

Ford expresses his fondness for the movie and appreciates the final product, even though the production process was complicated.
