In 2012, Tim Burton's film "Frankenweenie" marked the end of a nine-year collaboration with actor Johnny Depp.

Johnny Depp had been cast in every Tim Burton movie for almost a decade, until "Frankenweenie" broke this streak.

Various theories exist regarding why Depp wasn't part of "Frankenweenie," such as the possibility that he needed a break.

Tim Burton has directed iconic films, including "Pee-wee's Big Adventure" in 1985 and the upcoming "Beetlejuice 2" in 2024.

For nearly a decade, Johnny Depp's presence in every Tim Burton film was a significant hallmark of the director's career.

"Frankenweenie," released in 2012, marked a change in this longstanding partnership between Depp and Burton.

The absence of Johnny Depp in "Frankenweenie" raised questions about why this collaboration ended.

While there isn't a definitive answer, there are strong theories to explain Depp's absence.

Since "Frankenweenie," Depp and Burton have not worked together. Depp has been part of 21 films, while Burton has directed three.
