Ike Turner Jr. Arrested for Cocaine Possession charges

Ike Turner Jr. the son of famous musicians Ike and Tina Turner was recently arrested in Texas on charges related to cocaine possession and evidence tampering.

The arrest took place in Alvin, Texas where police discovered 1.7 grams of crack cocaine and 0.7 grams of methamphetamine in Turner's possession.

Turner, who is also a musician was driving a white 2013 Ford Fusion when he was pulled over by officers for a broken headlight or taillight.

During the traffic stop officers observed Turner attempting to eat the drugs in order to conceal them from authorities.

The arrest occurred only 18 days before the death of Turner's mother Tina Turner at the age of 83.

Currently held at Brazoria County Jail Turner is facing a bail amount of $70,000.

Ike Turner Jr. worked briefly as a sound engineer for his mother after his parents separated.

Ike Turner Jr revealed in a 2018 interview that his father disapproved of him working with Tina Turner and subjected him to physical abuse.

Turner also disclosed that he had not spoken to his mother in nearly two decades.
