Fonda said, “It was right before my 85th birthday, so I really celebrated no matter how you feel”.

I spend a lot of time thinking about death and it's made my life a lot better and when you get a cancer diagnosis, you think even more.

Fonda said, get the things done that you want to get done, so that when the time comes you won't have a lot of regrets.

In a blog she posted “Best Birthday Present Ever”, that her oncologist had told her to “discontinue” the chemotherapy.

Fonda, who has been a fitness guru as well, added that chemotherapy had been relatively “easy” as she had the best doctors and treatments.

This is the second time that the two-time Oscar winner has had cancer. She had been diagnosed with breast cancer in 2010.

Fonda said dying is part of life but you just have to take care of yourself, which I do even now.

The 'Grace and Frankie' star add that When I die, I want to be sure I have young women around me to wish me off.

Fonda won Academy Awards for Best Actress in 1971 and 1978 for her roles in Klute and Coming Home.
