Jeezy Opens Up About His Decision To Divorce Jeannie Mai

Jeezy, whose real name is Jay Wayne Jenkins, has spoken publicly for the first time since filing for divorce from Jeannie Mai.

He issued a statement on October 19 expressing that the decision to end their marriage, "comes with a heavy heart."

Jeezy filed for divorce from Jeannie Mai in September after two years of marriage.

The divorce filing states that the couple had been living in a state of separation and their marriage is "irretrievably broken."

Jeezy is seeking joint legal custody of their daughter, Monaco, born in January 2022.
