Kesha and Dr. Luke Settle Defamation Case Out of Court

Kesha and producer Dr. Luke have settled their long-standing defamation dispute out of court.

The settlement signifies the end of a lengthy legal drama between the two parties.

Dr. Luke stated that he wishes Kesha well while Kesha extended her wishes of peace to all parties involved.

Kesha acknowledged that she cannot fully recount what happened on the night in question.

The conflict between Kesha and Dr. Luke originated in 2014 when Kesha accused him of drugging and raping her in 2005.

Dr. Luke vehemently denied the allegations of drugging and assault stating that nothing happened.

The court also ruled that Kesha could recover some of her legal fees from Dr. Luke if she prevailed as a defendant.

Certain statements made by Kesha as part of court documents will remain in the lawsuit for a jury to decide.

The trial scheduled to begin on July 19 would have marked the culmination of nine years of legal proceedings.

Dr. Luke filed a defamation lawsuit against Kesha claiming that she fabricated the allegations to break her contract with his record label.
