Kingsley Ben-Adir Had Doubts to Star in Bob Marley Biopic

Kingsley Ben-Adir, star of Bob Marley biopic "One Love," initially had reservations about the role.

Director Reinaldo Marcus Green had to persuade Ben-Adir to audition for the film.

Despite initial reluctance, Ben-Adir agreed to audition after an endorsement from Ziggy Marley.

Kingsley Ben-Adir spent a weekend obsessing over Bob Marley for the audition tape.

He took singing and guitar lessons for the movie and sang all the songs during filming.

The finished film blends Kingsley Ben-Adir's voice with Marley's archival recordings.

Ben-Adir recruited Jamaicans to help him capture the authentic Jamaican voice for Marley.

He compiled hundreds of pages of Bob Marley's speech written out phonetically.
