Lisa Loring who played the original Wednesday Addams in the 1960s sitcom The Addams Family has died.

Loring died peacefully on Saturday night in the hospital surrounded by her family.

Loring had suffered a massive stroke and had been on life support for three days.

Her first television appearance came in 1964 on an episode of the NBC medical drama Dr. Kildare.

Loring was given the stage name Lisa Loring and started modeling at age 3.

Loring was just five years old when she took on the character of Wednesday Addams from Charles Addams Family.

Loring’s parents divorced when she was very young and she came to live in Los Angeles with her mother.

Loring was born Lisa Ann DeCinces in the Marshall Islands to parents who had served in the Navy.

Loring is survived by her daughters Marianne and Vanessa and  also her grandchildren Emiliana and Charles.
