The TV star told her more than Instagram followers that she became pregnant while they were in Bali but that, unfortunately, it didn't work out.

Doctors referred Mary's condition as to a septic miscarriage, and she  had to go into surgery for that.

Fitzgerald, who has an adult son Austin from prior marriage, went on saying that she is aware of how "common this is".

Fitzgerald continued, saying that she would keep sharing her story, and that they would soon have "really excellent news."

The realtor noted in her caption that trying to conceive is 'not all sunshine and butterflies,' and she wanted to remind others that they are 'not alone.'

According to the NCH Healthcare System, a septic miscarriage, which is an infection in the uterus, can cause chills, a fever, and lower abdomen pain.

There is not much to do to prevent miscarriage but prenatal care, multivitamins, and other risk factors can help prevent it.
