According to TMZ, Schuman now believes that a new bill that would extend the deadline for filing civil lawsuits will give her a second chance at justice.

Even this year, Carter countersued Schuman for $2.3 million, asserting that she had been trying to extort him for years. She still denies the allegations.

Carter's attorney, Liane Wakayama, claims that Melissa Schuman has been spreading this rumor for a long time, but that when she first made the claim in 2017, it was untrue.
