After doctors consultation the date of surgery of the Queen has been fixed for Feb. 22, 2023.

She was born on April 16, 1940, and is the daughter of King Frederick IX and Queen Ingrid of Denmark.

Margrethe was proclaimed queen on Jan. 15, 1972, a day after her father, King Frederik IX, died.
